Geoffrey Beene Perfumes

Geoffrey Beene is part of the Elizabeth Arden group, so they should know something about colognes and fragrances. But to say that Elizabeth Arden is responsible for the accomplishments of Geoffrey Beene perfumes would be unkind.

The truth is that Geoffrey Beene was already well-established and highly sought after as early as the 1980s. Started in 1963 by Louisiana native, Geoffrey Beene, the company became famous for shirts, suits, ties, hats and scarves. So much so, having a Geoffrey Beene item was colloquially known as “owning a Beene”.

For those that couldn’t afford the high-fashion items, Geoffrey Beene create a Grey Flannel cologne in 1975 that immediately sold strongly.

Following Geoffrey Beene Grey Flannel came Geoffrey Beene Bowling Green and Eau de Grey for men; retro inspired scents that are etched in tradition and embody strong masculinity. We’d sign up to Geoffrey Beene on the name of his perfumes alone if it transported us to a summer’s day and a game of lawn bowls with a glass of Pimms.

Geoffrey Beene Chance for women and Geoffrey Beene perfume remain the only two releases for women in the collection.
