Chloe Perfumes

Founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, an Egyptian who lived in Paris, Chloé sought to create pieces that contrasted the stiff, formal, made-to-measure clothing available. Chloé’s signature was ease; creating beautiful, effortless clothing that could be purchased off-the-rack. Aghion is widely credited as creating the phrase prêt-à-porter, which means ready-to-wear.

Aghion remained with Chloé until it’s sale in 1985. Since then it has had a number of renowned designers including Karl Lagerfeld and Stella McCartney.

Chloé’s debut fragrance, Chloé for women launched in 1977 and became a feminine classic. The brand released a sweetened fragrance with Chloé Narcisse in the 1990s. In 2008 the brand refreshed and took on a trio of women at the helm who embodied Chloé’s DNA, fresh, confident femininity. Favourites include L’Eau de Chloé, See By Chloé, and Roses by Chloé, all housed in Chloé’s signature pleated glass bottle.
