Any fragrance that uses Audrey Hepburn as the inspiration is destined to smell incredible and sell just as well too. And that’s exactly what transpired for Givenchy, the luxury French fashion and perfume house started by Hubert de Givenchy in 1952.
The Hepburn-era, began in 1953, when Givenchy met and became enchanted with the young actress. It began a history of collaboration between the pair. The little black dress Hepburn wore in Breakfast at Tiffany’s was Givenchy, and then the pair launched L’Interdit with the first perfume advertisement that featured a movie star.
Givenchy always believed that the perfume should be the inihfing touch that women added after getting dressed. Therefore, Givenchy perfumes are often marketed as elegant accessories.
Givenchy Beauty, Véry Irrésistible, Véry Irrésistible Eau de Parfum and Véry Irrésistible L’Eau en Rose were all considered staples of a discerning fashion lover’s collection. But they’ve also developed over time and been brought into a new-era (the Amanda Seyfried era, even though that doesn’t quite have the same ring to it as Audrey Hepburn). The latest in the Irresistible ranges is the Givenchy Live Irrésistible collection which is more contemporary and bubbly.
Other popular Givenchy releases available at Perfume Price include Ysatis, Organza and the Gentlemen range.
