It is easy to assume that Burberry as a brand was founded in London. However, despite the famous Burberry London fragrances, that’s not the case. The Burberry brand’s origins are in Basingstoke Hampshire. Thomas Burberry was the founder of the brand in 1856. His original intention was to produce clothes to protect the public from the famous British weather. With the design of the Burberry trench coat, he definitely achieved that!
