Elizabeth Arden Perfumes

Visit any women’s bathroom and you’re likely to find an Elizabeth Arden product of some description, and in most cases it will be an Elizabeth Arden perfume. Such is the success of Elizabeth Arden, it’s main fragrance offering, Red Door, has more brand recognition than any other perfume in the world.

Started by Florence Nightingale Graham in 1901, the Elizabeth Arden brand deserves to go down in history as one of the greatest innovators in the history of cosmetics and grooming. Elizabeth Arden has pioneered spas, makeovers, foundations and eye make-up.

The name Red Door comes from the Red Door spas that the company opened first in Manhattan before expanding worldwide. It wasn’t the first fragrance released by Elizabeth Arden though. That honour belongs to the 1935 release, Blue Grass (a perfume which performed strongly despite the odd and relatively unappealing name).

Success was never far away for Nightingale and Elizabeth Arden, which some researchers put down to the unwavering dedication to an exceptional product and rumours that Elizabeth perfumes could not be released until utterly perfect.

After Blue Grass and Red Door has come Elizabeth Arden Green Tea perfume, Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue perfume. All popular in their own regard, as are the convenient Elizabeth Arden perfume sets which make excellent gifts.
