Salvatore Ferragamo Perfumes

Some people know exactly what they want to do with their lives from a very young age, others struggle between roles before finally finding their passion. Salvatore Ferragamo was in the former camp. He knew he wanted to make shoes from the age of 9. So he did.

He made shoes in Naples. He made shoes in Boston. He made shoes in Italy again when he returned after studying anatomy at the University of Southern California. This scientific research helped him make comfortable and beautiful shoes, but would also hold him in good stead for a career in fragrance.

After making shoes for the rich and famous in both the US and Italy, Ferragamo tried his hand at perfume with the 1971 opener, Salvatore Ferragamo for Women.

The Salvatore Ferragamo perfume catalogue now boasts a huge range of fragrance, from men’s aftershaves to delicate women’s perfumes. The best known and best peer reviewed are: Salvatore Ferragamo Signorina, Signorina Eleganza and Signorina Misteriosa; The Tuscan Soul Collection (including the Terra Rossa, Golden Acacia and Incense Suede);

Salvatore Uomo; Bianco Di Carrara; Vendemmia; Viola Essenziala and Convivio.

The portfolio is now so big it needs its own company to manage it. Thus, Ferragamo Parfums was established to sell Ferragamo perfumes and colognes under the Incanto brand name. Speaking of Incanto, The women’s perfume Incanto Charms is comfortably the best

Salvatore Ferragamo fragrance.

If you’re ever in Florence, make sure to visit Ferragamo’s shoe museum. If you can’t make it, wear Ferragamo for a Florence feel.
