Vera Wang Perfumes
Best known as the world’s most respected bridalwear designer, Vera Wang was first, an almost-Olympic figure skater. After missing out on a spot in the team, she retired and took up the position as editor of Vogue at just 23.
Immersing herself in the world of fashion was easy for Wang in her position as editor of Vogue. She worked with the biggest brands, the best designers and started to hone her own approach to fashion and couture. By 1990 she had opened her first store in New York.
Thanks to Sex and the City, and dressing Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Lopez and Kate Hudson on their wedding days, Vera Wang achieved cult status. What better way to take advantage of cult status than by launching sunglasses, shoes, fur and of course, fragrances.
Vera Wang fragrance in association with Coty came along in 2002. Vera Wang for Women was inspired by bridalwear, with Wang describing it as smelling like a big bouquet of flowers. The wedding theme was also evident in later releases including Vera Wang Sheer Veil, Vera Wang Bouquet and even Vera Wang Princess (for the younger women dreaming of a charming partner to sweep her off her feet).
A companion scent to 2002’s Vera Wang for Women was released in 2004. Vera Wang for Men was the dose of confidence men needed before their big day. If you’ve got a big day coming up or know someone that has, might we suggest Vera Wang perfume.
